A swing cell is a device used to teach Braille by demonstrating the relationship between the Braille cell for reading and the keys on a Braillewriter for writing. It consists of two hinged blocks with pegs that represent the dots in a Braille cell, which can be configured to show the correct hand placement for a Braillewriter. Pegs are removable.
