By placing an order with Assistech you agree to our standard Terms and Conditions:

Shipping Policy:


The final shipping costs may be different for heavier-than-average items, drop shipments or multiple items on the same order. Any additional charges will be communicated prior to shipping.

International orders (including to Canada) may incur import taxes and duty fees upon product arrival. Unclaimed international packages must be returned to us and the buyer is responsible for the shipping and/or any other charges. More Information

The cut-off time for same-day shipping is 12:00 noon (Arizona time). In some cases this time may be extended. If any item is on back order, you will be notified.

For purposes of expedited shipping, please be advised that UPS does NOT deliver on holidays or weekends (i.e. Saturday and Sunday). A Next Day order placed on Saturday will not be delivered until Tuesday.

PLEASE NOTE: If a shipment is refused, buyer is responsible for any fees associated with the returned package plus a 15% cancellation fee. In case of package re-routing or of an incomplete/incorrect shipping address, there is a charge for UPS address correction.


Return/Refund Policy:


THERE IS A 5% PROCESSING FEE (20% FOR GENTEX SMOKE DETECTORS) ON ALL RETURNS FOR A REFUND. SHIPPING CHARGES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. AN RMA NUMBER IS REQUIRED. PLEASE CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR ASSISTANCE.

ONCE AN RMA NUMBER IS ISSUED, ITEM(S) NEED BE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY.

RETURNS FOR CREDIT MUST BE DONE WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM THE INITIAL DELIVERY OR ATTEMPTED DELIVERY DATE. THERE'S NO EXCEPTION TO OUR 30-DAY POLICY. The sender is responsible for shipping. In case of defective or wrong merchandise, a replacement will be sent upon receipt of the item in question. International customers pay for shipping both ways if a replacement is needed.

If an item needs be returned for credit, the following conditions apply: (1) It must be in "like new" condition and without any signs of change or modification from its original state, (2) returned with all of its contents and packaging placed into an outer carton to preserve the condition of the original box, (3) all instructions, warranties, and any accessories that come with the item must be enclosed, and (4) include a copy of the return form (if available).

We reserve the right to refuse any returns that do not meet the above requirements. "Free" items that are sold as part of a promotional bundle must also be returned to qualify for a full refund.

Because of Health Department regulations, we cannot accept returns of items that have been used on the body, such as thermometers, eye-care products, etc. Opened computer software and hearing aid batteries are non returnable. Once installed, wired smoke detectors from Gentex cannot be returned.

The shipping rate charged by ASSISTECH is only intended to cover the freight. Additional charges may apply that the addressee may be required to pay directly to the carrier, including import taxes and duty fees.

If you received an item on Day 1 and return it on Day 31 for credit, your return is within the 30 days. If the item happens to be defective and you return it on Day 15 for a replacement, you have 15 more days to try it! Unless otherwise noted, we give a total of 30 days to try any given product.

There is a 20% restocking fee on the return of Gentex smoke detectors and 15% on mobility aids such as walkers and scooters. Electronic magnification systems and other more expensive items also have a restocking fee.
